For example, a person of Inuit descent does very well on a high protein high fat diet, and tends to develop symptoms and disease when too many carbohydrates are eaten. On the flip side of that, some tribes in South America do best on a nearly vegetarian diet, and become ill when they eat too much meat and/or fat.
